You should fully understand that you are comprised of 3 basic components: these are your Mind, your Body and your Spirit (or soul if you wish).

You should also be fully aware that to have a life that is really satisfying you need to have all three elements working in harmony.

To work on two of the elements and ignore the other will not lead to a happy or contented life, and whilst you ….

Helping Yourself

Room to Escape, be at peace for a short while.....

SNOW BLOSSOM

Taken in Derbyshire after a sudden unexpected snow fall in the middle of May.

The Blossom on the tree survived the sudden cold without setback. Looked bad, but good resulted.

NORTHERN SUNSET

A stunning sunset on the west coast of Sweden. It had been a cool, cloudy day but as it progressed to evening the sky cleared and we were rewarded with this lovely scene.

STARTLED GOAT

In the hills of Wales when walking in a narrow lane with hedges on each side, this goat suddenly saw us. Seconds later it fled to find its own sanctuary. Find yours in here.

BULLRUSHES

Late afternoon sun on the water with the rushes and a duck gave a serene moment of peace.

Water is a great medium in which to go and be at peace with yourself.

GREEN CORRIDOR

Where does this pathway lead? What unexpected things lay around the corner? Transpose yourself and use your imagination to go somewhere you have never been.

LEANING ROCK

The forces of nature have made this rock on a Welsh beach look as if it may fall over at any time.

But its foundations are solid as are yours if you place your faith properly.

LAKE REFLECTION

The absolute solitude and calmness of this small lake in Leicestershire says ‘Be Calm’. Immerse yourself in the scene, admire the lilies and imagine just sitting there at peace.

DOG BUTTERCUPS

Who says that animals don’t like flowers. This dog is really content there and a few moments later was lying down amongst them. Join him in the yellow meadow.

NEW GROWTH

Ferns, when they are showing new growth do it in a fascinating way, gradually uncurling.

Imagine yourself uncurling and leaving your problems somewhere else.

NASTURTIUM

The vibrancy of the deep red against the calmness of the green leaves gives a feeling of calm contrast. You can be like this so just allow it to happen and be calm too.

Everyone needs to escape at some time.

Maybe you feel trapped in a situation that you can’t change. Perhaps you are in a situation where you are experiencing stress at work or in your family. Life as a carer can put a huge burden on you. Maybe you have experienced some bullying. Or maybe it is one of those many situations where life seems to just avalanche down on you.

If certain music soothes you, then listen to it. If that style of music annoys others, get yourself a pair of headphones. Don’t allow yourself to be defeated.

Calm. Look at the thumbnail pictures below, and then click on the one that draws you, and immerse yourself in the picture for a few minutes.

Energy Boost. Remember that just as animals and scenery can draw you, so can colours. If you find you are drawn by a certain one, it’s not a coincidence; it’s you feeding off the energy that the colour gives you. It may not be a colour that you normally like, but if it is calling you, it’s helping you. There is truth in the old sayings, “I’m feeling off colour” or “You are looking in the pink”.

Added Therapy. For an added ‘feel good’ factor, dress in the colour that draws you. Even a scarf or tie can make the difference. Try it.

Mouse over on the thumbnail pictures above and click to fill the page, then click on the symbol in the bottom right corner to fill the screen. Brief description of each is below.
