Room for Reflection

Take a few minutes to reflect the positive parts of your day.

Remember the nice things that happened. Make a positive commitment to remember the good, because it is easy to crowd it out, even with only one negative issue.

Your day could have been going really well until something happens and then.… ‘pop’! All the good things that have previously happened are instantly forgotten and the day is now a disaster.

Well it isn’t - just remember the better bits and don’t dwell on the bad.

So you are reading this in November and it is pouring down with rain outside. Not much cheerful in that you say. Really?

If we had no rain then nothing would grow, we would have little to drink as there would be severe water restrictions, and without the grey days in our lives the sunny ones would be worth a lot less (it really is true that too many sunny days and hot days together become a hardship - try living in a desert area and see for yourself, rainy days are good out there!).

So we need to have the contrasts in our lives. We need to have shadows to appreciate the sun.

Look for the good in your day, it really is there if you want to find it. Look to Escape too.
